As part of MARTA's mission to help retired educators stay in touch with one another, the Friendly Service Committee reaches out to members to celebrate their joys, console in sadness, encourage in difficult times and to provide help for personal situations involving sickness and/or financial need.
But we can't do it alone! We need the help of caring, concerned members who let us know about people to whom we can send, on behalf of MARTA, our mutual concerns and heart-felt wishes.
Please think of us whenever you know of someone we should contact. Just click on Contact Uswith the names and addresses of members in nursing homes and/or rehabilitation homes, those who are ill, have a death in the family, might need temporary financial help along the lines of "People to People"; or more joyfully, have a new grandchild, a special anniversary or any other event that you feel might be appropriate for MARTA to acknowledge.
All of you who help us share MARTA's caring spirit will be acknowledged in a "Thank you" column in the next newsletter.
