Hope this finds you well and ready to reconnect with your MARTA friends. Our activity committee has found some new things to do as well as opportunities to stay fit and active. Check out the Fall activity pictures of our members enjoying themselves. Don’t miss the opportunity of getting out and staying connected with your fellow retirees so you won’t have to ask yourself, “What was I doing when they were having all that fun?“.
Our Fall Luncheon at Delancey’s and the Holiday Party at Christopher’s Bistro were very enjoyable. As usual, our generous members brightened the holidays with their gifts for the Relatives as Parents program and with holiday cards for many home-bound veterans. It is always nice to have fun as well as sharing it with others. Everyone was a winner- some with Raffle ticket trees, some with door prizes or game prizes and everyone got a party favor.
We had 234 contributors to the 2024-25 Scholarship fund and MARTA continues to provide four scholarships. Our Scholarship Breakfast is planned for May 28th at Delancey’s in Goshen, where we have enjoyed our Fall Luncheons. Please consider coming in May to meet the scholarship winners – it is so uplifting to hear their stories and plans. We are constantly amazed at our members’ generosity, and you will enjoy being thanked in person.
We are still seeking assistance from the membership to fill the following open positions:
Activity committee members to plan new outings for the members.
Additional board members. We meet by Zoom 5 times a year. The workload is small when you share the work. Collaborating with great people and serving great people. If interested in any position, please contact us.
