Speaker Series

MARTA continues its speaker series for the members to learn about topics
that all seniors should be aware of and many do not.

Zoom Presentation on Estate Planning documents - Attorney Bonnie Kraham, of Ettinger Law Firm, will present information on Elder Law Estate Planning. In 1991, AARP published a Consumer Report on Probate concluding that probate was a process to be avoided.  That marked the end of traditional will planning and started the Living Trust revolution. Since that time, millions of people have set up trusts to:  Save time and money in settling the estate; Avoid having their personal and financial matters made public; Reduce the chance of a will contest; Keep control in the family and out of the court system.
Estate Planning documents including Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxy, Living Will, Pour over Will, revocable and irrevocable living trusts will be explained.  The Zoom link will be sent the day before.

Thursday, May 5th – 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Cost - free
